Terms and conditions

For bookings at Hotel Akerlund

When booking through our website, a booking confirmation will be sent by e-mail to the address stated at the time of booking. Upon check-in, the booking confirmation must be shown upon request. It is the responsibility of the guest to check that the details on the booking confirmation are correct. If something is wrong, it is the guest’s responsibility to contact the hotel as soon as possible to correct the information.

Cancelling, changing and paying for a booking

All requests for changing or cancelling a confirmed booking must be made by e-mailing info@hotelakerlund.se.

The booking is paid for in its entirety when arriving to the hotel and checking in. The booking can be changed or cancelled up until 18:00 the day before arrival (local time) without any costs, unless otherwise is agreed in advance.

If the hotel has had any additional costs related to your booking or stay (including, but not limited to, damage to the hotel or its property caused intentionally or by gross negligence), you may be liable to pay such additional costs.

Bookings for multiple rooms by larger groups, must be cancelled at least 14 days before scheduled arrival, unless otherwise is agreed in writing.

Late check-in

To guarantee that your room is available if you arrive after 22:00 when the reception is unmanned, you need to provide the hotel with your payment information. If you cancel your booking later than 18:00 the day before arrival, or do not arrive at all on the scheduled arrival day, you will be charged 100% of the fee for the first night.

For late (after 22:00) check-ins, contact us in advance to get the key code for the front door.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in from 15:00. The reception is manned until 22:00 every day. Any complaints or requests regarding the rooms should be made to the reception staff as soon as possible after check-in.

Check-out should be done before 12:00. If you need a later check-out time, contact the reception staff in advance (an additional fee may apply).

Smoking in the rooms, and other damages

Smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms at Hotel Akerlund. The guest, or the person responsible for making and paying for the booking, is responsible for any damages to the hotel or any of its properties, if such damage is caused intentionally or by gross negligence. This also includes costs caused by setting off the smoke alarms by smoking indoors, as well as any sanitation needed.

Personal belongings

The hotel is not responsible for any personal belongings stored in the room or anywhere else on the hotel property.

The right to deny bookings

For this reason, as well as for the safety of our staff and our guests, we reserve the right to deny accommodation.

Force Majeure

In the event of any emergency or unforeseen event not caused by – and outside of the control of – the hotel (for example natural catastrophies, strikes, fires, acts of terrorism or war), the hotel has the right to cancel any agreement and/or booking without liability to compensate for any cost it causes for the guest(s).
